U15 & U18 Asian Schools Championship, Ubon Rachathani Thailand
Wakil-wakil untuk mengikuti U15 & U18 Asian Schools Championship di Ubon Rachathani Thailand pada 2hb - 12hb September 2011 kini sedang menjalani latihan intensif dengan mengadakan perlawanan persahabatan, pemantapan strategi dan komunikasi antara pemain dan jurulatih serta ketahanan fizikal dan mental.
Pemain yang akan berentap di Thailand awal bulan depan telahpun dipilih dan diharapkan disiplin dan konsisten pemain akan dapat dipertahankan dan ditingkatkan, jika tidak, peluang mereka untuk mewakili Brunei ke kejohanan tersebut akan terjejas.
Latihan penempatan bagi para pemain akan diadakan di Kompleks Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah Kiarong lebih kurang dua minggu sebelum keberangkatan ke Thailand.

E-Hijrah - Accelerating ICT in Co Curriculum Education
We at the Department of Co Curriculum Education is proud to be associated with E-Hijrah. With the development of E-Hijrah Management Information System, we sincerely hope to engage more students, teachers and schools as a whole, in a more relevant and futuristic co curricular activities.
We ponder A Message from the Minister of Education
Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is to the 21st century knowledge economy as the steam engine was to the Industrial Revolution of the 20th century. ICT is the catalyst and vehicle which is driving a more globalized and connected world enabling a broader range of opportunities for quality economic and social development. However, ICT, whether in the form of gadgets, search engines, or management systems, has no value by and of itself. It is a tool by which people, especially our children, can achieve their aspirations and full potential.
As the Ministry of Education embarks on a series of transformation initiatives under Sistem Pendidikan Negara Abad ke-2 (SPN21) to achieve our aspirations toward Wawasan 2035, the effective and innovative use of ICT is a central thrust. It is our belief that an integrated and aligned approach to ICT in education will be a catalyst for the transformation of the Ministry and Schools, enabling us all to move more rapidly towards realising the objectives of Wawasan 2035, SPN21 and the e-Government Strategic Plan. E-Hijrah is the holistic, coherent, and coordinated approach to ICT in education for the Ministry of Education.
This e-Hijrah Strategy and Blueprint is the critical first step for moving forward toward this necessary transformation of education. It is a complete, thorough strategy and plan that includes all the components necessary to rapidly and effectively integrate and implement ICT across the Ministry and schools. Of critical importance is the e-Hijrah Implementation Management plan which paves the way for moving from strategy to ensuring strong and sustained implementation at every level. The plan is detailed and provides for arming our teachers and Ministry professionals with the capacity, training and tools to support students in achieving digital fluency and increased capacity for innovation.
Most importantly, this e-Hijrah Strategy and Blueprint aims to ensure that ICT in education is tightly integrated with Melayu Islam Beraja (MIB). It is of great importance that we stress the subtle, but deliberate emphasis on the fact that under e-Hijrah, we are integrating ICT into MIB and not MIB into ICT. While ICT is a powerful tool, it is our strong national values and traditions that will continue to serve as the foundation of our development and growth.
We now have a tremendous opportunity to leap forward with a number of highly focused developments in organization, processes, and practices under the umbrella of the e-Hijrah Strategy and Blueprint. If the Strategic Thrusts and Initiatives of the e-Hijrah Strategy and Blueprint are to be successful, it will require a substantial and sustained effort across all the aspects of our education system. The Ministry of Education will provide the tools and the investment in ICT that are needed, but it will require each individual, whether in a school or Ministry Department to take up the personal challenges these transformative changes will require.
I urge you to embrace this opportunity for personal and professional growth.
e-Hijrah is part of our journey that will shape the strong, stable, and resilient future for generations of Brunei Darussalam citizens described in His Majesty’s vision of Wawasan Brunei 2035.

Tahniah MSSBD!! (Unit Latihan dan Perkembangan Sukan)
Tahniah kepada semua atlit, pengurus, jurulatih, penolong jurulatih Majlis Sukan Sekolah-Sekolah (Unit Latihan dan Perkembangan Sukan, Jabatan Pendidikan Kokurikulum) atas kejayaan mendapat 42 pingat emas, 35 perak dan 24 gangsa, membawa jumlah keseluruhan pingat sebanyak 101.
Tahniah juga kepada Maziah Mahusin kerana berjaya mendapat anugerah olahragawati terbaik dengan Pencapaian : 5 pingat emas dalam acara Lompat Tinggi, 200M (28.11saat, NGR), 400M hurdles (1min 18.30saat, NGR), 4x100M dan 4x400M. Walaupun Amanda Liew berjaya mendapat 6 pingat emas dalam acara renang namun pihak penganjur menganugerahkan gelaran tersebut bukan sahaja dari aspek pingat tetapi juga dari aspek pemecahan rekod.
Pihak MSSBD (Unit Latihan dan Perkembangan Sukan) sukacita merakamkan jutaan tahniah kepada pihak penganjur iaitu Jabatan Belia dan Sukan atas kejayaan mengendalikan Pesta Sukan Remaja kali ke V bagi tahun 2011. Adalah menjadi harapan pihak MSSBD (Unit Latihan dan Perkembangan Sukan) untuk mengharumkan nama negara dengan melahirkan atlit yang berkarisma dan berprestasi tinggi.
Tahniah juga kepada semua atlit yang mewakili daerah Brunei Muara, Tutong, Belait dan Temburong atas semangat setiakawan dan kesukanan yang telah ditonjolkan sepanjang acara PSR berlangsung.
Jutaan terima kasih kepada semua pihak yang terlibat, khususnya pihak Kementerian Pendidikan melalui pihak SUT serta Bahagian DA, Permakanan dan Asrama, Bahagian Kenderaan, Bahagian Keselamatan dan semua yang telah berusaha menyokong usaha pihak MSSBD (Unit Latihan dan Perkembangan Sukan) untuk memberikan yang terbaik demi kesejahteraan dan prestasi terbaik atlit.

Untuk perhatian dan tindakan penganjuran di masa akan datang oleh pihak sekretariat ASSC;
- Untuk memastikan semua maklumat adalah TEPAT, CEPAT dan TERKINI di semua sebaran dan outlet maklumat.
- Komunikasi bertindih dielakkan
- Liputan media menyeluruh dan centralized untuk masing-masing kontinjen ; cetak (newsletter) dan media baru.
- Cultural Education Programme untuk para atlit ketika mereka tidak berlatih.
- Konsisten dan tanpa prejudis di semua peringkat; teknikal, penghakiman, komunikasi etc. Tiada BIAS dan agenda tersendiri bagi SEMUA. Peraturan dan syarat dijalankan dengan adil.
- Persiapan awal semua by counting down from actually date of events; logistics, venue, peruntukan, persuratan, percetakan, publisiti, keselamatan, permakanan.
- Aspek permakanan atlit MESTI diambilkira untuk peningkatan prestasi di samping kebajikan dari segi tempat tinggal, keselesaan (entertainment thru CEP) , kelengkapan dan kemudahan (medic) etc.
